Learning Disability Qualification Induction Award : e-learning course
This course covers the Skills for Care learning outcomes that form the basis of registration of all Adult Social Care staff working with people with disabilities. It should be completed within 12 weeks of starting work in a care setting. The Common Induction Standards covered in this course provide a comprehensive overview of what care workers need to know for their role in providing care and support to individuals.
The course provides the underpinning knowledge required for all Social Care training and is aimed specifically at those working with people with learning disabilities. It is a suitable induction for all those entering the Health and Social Care profession as well as being useful refresher training for those already employed in the sector.
Following a unit introducing the learner to learning disability, the course covers the four units of the LDQ Award:
- The Principles of Learning Disability Support
- Your Role as a Learning Disability Worker
- Health and Safety in a Learning Disability Service
- Protecting People with Learning Disabilities from Abuse
